A programme of short courses involving distance learning and a practical workshop.

The ACOL programme is managed by the Royal Society of Chemistry and provides short courses for people working in analytical science. The courses last for about three months and include distance learning with easy-to-read texts, CDs, interactive computer programmes, and practical workshops.

Assessment is by written assignments and written reports. Tutor support is available throughout the course by email and phone.

Customised on-line discussion forums and facilities for message relaying, submitting assignments, and downloading files are all available on this website (ids and passwords are required; registered users please use the log in button on left).

Completion of five registrations and workshops leads to the Professional Development Certificate.
